Mole and skin tag removal in Bangkok

Moles, skin tags and warts are removed by CO2 laser in Bangkok at hospitals and clinics, usually in one short visit after a doctor checks each spot.

Clinics in Bangkok price it per spot: the first spot costs more than each one after it, and larger spots or warts cost more.

About mole and skin tag removal

A CO2 laser vaporises a mole, skin tag, wart or other small growth at the surface of the skin, without cutting or stitches. Each treated spot forms a scab that falls off after 5 to 10 days.

It is for spots a doctor has examined and judged harmless. A spot that looks suspicious should be sent for a biopsy or cut out instead, so that it can be examined.

Techniques and approaches

The same procedure name covers different operations. These are the approaches a clinic will offer, and what separates them.

Moles

Moles near the surface suit the laser. Deeper moles may need more than one session, or surgical removal.

Skin tags

Usually removed in one session, often several at a time.

Warts

Priced by size at one hospital. Some clinics do not laser warts, or not on the soles, palms or around the nails.

Seborrhoeic keratosis

Rough, waxy spots that become more common with age, removed at the surface.

The decisions you will make

These come up at consultation. Knowing them beforehand makes the conversation shorter and the plan clearer.

A doctor's check first

Tell the doctor about any mole that has changed, bleeds, does not heal or looks different from the others.

Price per spot

Clinics charge more for the first spot than for each one after it. Count your spots and ask for the total.

Healing time

Allow one to two weeks for the scabs, and keep the treated skin out of the sun and out of swimming pools while it heals.

About 1 day

What the trip involves

Clinics vary, and your clinician’s plan overrides anything on this page. The shape is consistent.

  1. 1Before you fly

Send photos of the spots. The doctor still has to examine each one in person.

  2. 2Examination

The doctor checks each spot. A suspicious one is sent for a biopsy or surgical removal instead of the laser.

  3. 3The treatment

Numbing cream or a small injection, then 5 to 30 minutes of laser, depending on the number of spots.

  4. 4The first week

Each spot forms a scab, which falls off after 5 to 10 days. Do not pick it.

  5. 5Healing

Allow about two weeks. Keep the skin out of strong sun and out of swimming pools while it heals.

  6. 6Back home

Use sunscreen on the treated skin daily for at least three months.

Ask these before you pay a deposit

Formatted as a numbered list, ready to email a clinic.
  1. Who is treating me, and what are their qualifications?

A clinic name is not a clinician. Ask for the individual, their registration, and how often they do this procedure.

  2. What is included in the price, and what is not?

Facility fees, anaesthesia, materials, medication, follow-up appointments and take-home items are often quoted separately.

  3. Is the deposit refundable, and under what conditions?

Including if the clinic reschedules, or if the in-person assessment changes the plan.

  4. What if it needs correcting?

Ask for the policy in writing: who pays, within what window, and whether it covers a return trip.

  5. Who do I contact after I go home, and in what language?

A name, a channel, and an expected response time. Aftercare that ends at the airport is not aftercare.

Questions

Is the price on this page a quote?

No. It is a starting price for the first spot. The clinic confirms the total after the doctor sees each spot.

Will it leave a scar?

Clinics say the risk is low for spots near the surface and higher for deeper moles, which may need more than one session.

Should every mole be lasered?

No. A mole that has changed, bleeds, does not heal or looks different from the others needs a doctor's assessment first.

Can I swim afterwards?

Not until it heals. One clinic advises no swimming pools for seven to ten days.
