Bangkok · Fertility
PGT-A embryo screening is provided in Bangkok by fertility centres accredited by the Department of Health Service Support. Thai law (the Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2015) limits IVF, ICSI and IUI to legally married couples; it sets no nationality rule for these. Nobody may buy, sell, import or export eggs, sperm or embryos.
Fertility treatment is a cycle rather than an appointment. The timing is set by your body, not by your travel dates, which makes it the hardest kind of treatment to plan a trip around.

PGT-A screens embryos for the correct number of chromosomes before transfer. A few cells are biopsied from each blastocyst and analysed while the embryos are frozen.
It is an add-on to an IVF cycle rather than a treatment in itself, and it adds both cost and time, since results come back after the embryos are already frozen.

The same procedure name covers different operations. These are the approaches a clinic will offer, and what separates them.
Cells taken from the part of the blastocyst that becomes the placenta, not from the part that becomes the baby.
The current standard analysis method.
Testing for a specific inherited single-gene condition. A different test with a different purpose.
Testing for structural chromosome rearrangements where one is known in a parent.
These come up at consultation. Knowing them beforehand makes the conversation shorter and the plan clearer.
Without a known genetic condition, Medical Council rules (95(5)/2558) allow screening only after a pregnancy with a serious abnormality, two or more miscarriages before 12 weeks, two ART cycles in a row without pregnancy, for a woman aged 35 or over with a medical reason, or to match tissue for a sick child.
Thai law bars embryo testing that could be taken as selecting sex. A clinic offering "family balancing" is offering what the law prohibits.

Clinics vary, and your clinician’s plan overrides anything on this page. The shape is consistent.
Tests and records shared with the clinic, and a video consultation. Ask about eligibility rules early.
Some clinics accept monitoring done at home before you fly. Confirm what they will accept.
The active phase of the cycle. Dates move with your body, so keep travel flexible.
Day-case, with a short recovery. You will need someone with you if sedation is used.
Follow-up and results. Plan for around 1 day in country, and expect it to move.
Agree in writing what is stored, for how long, at what annual cost, and how it is released.
A clinic name is not a clinician. Ask for the individual, their registration, and how often they do this procedure.
Facility fees, anaesthesia, materials, medication, follow-up appointments and take-home items are often quoted separately.
Including if the clinic reschedules, or if the in-person assessment changes the plan.
Ask for the policy in writing: who pays, within what window, and whether it covers a return trip.
A name, a channel, and an expected response time. Aftercare that ends at the airport is not aftercare.
Clinics that perform this in your city see your enquiry, without your details. Up to three take it and come back to you with real quotes. You decide who — if anyone — you talk to.
Everything worth settling before you book, before you fly, while you are in Bangkok, and once you are home — including how this goes wrong and how to avoid it. Tick it here, or take it with you.

No. It is a starting price for a cycle. Medication and add-ons commonly sit outside it.
Often not. Ask for it as a separate line before comparing clinics.
Plan for around 1 day and keep it flexible. Cycle timing is not fixed in advance.
Some clinics accept monitoring done by your own doctor before you fly. Ask early — it can shorten the trip considerably.
