What veneers cost in Bangkok
On 2 November 2026 we read the veneer prices that eight Bangkok dental clinics publish on their own websites:
| What you are buying | Published prices, per tooth |
|---|---|
| A porcelain (ceramic) veneer | 12,000 to 18,000 baht. Most clinics charge 14,000 to 16,000 baht. |
| Porcelain, when you have six to eight or more | 11,000 to 17,000 baht a tooth. Most clinics lower the price for larger sets. |
| A super-thin porcelain veneer, with little or no preparation | 18,000 to 19,000 baht. |
| Porcelain with digital smile design | Up to 22,000 baht at one clinic. |
| A composite veneer, built up in the chair | 3,000 to 8,000 baht. Most clinics charge 4,000 to 6,500 baht. |
| A composite veneer made from a mould or in the lab | 6,000 to about 9,000 baht. |
For a full smile of ten porcelain veneers, two clinics publish set prices of 120,000 and 140,000 baht. One clinic's prices are valid until 30 November 2026; the others give no end date. Two more clinics published lists that ended on 31 October 2026, so we left them out. One large private hospital publishes no veneer prices.
Porcelain or composite
Porcelain veneers are made in a dental laboratory from a thin shell of ceramic, such as e.max, and bonded to the front of the tooth. They resist staining and are the more expensive option. Composite veneers are tooth-coloured resin, usually shaped directly on the tooth in one visit. They cost less and can be repaired, but they stain and wear more readily.
Most porcelain veneers need a thin layer of enamel removed first, so the veneer does not look bulky. One clinic describes removing about half a millimetre. That cannot be undone. Super-thin veneers need little or no preparation, but not every tooth suits them. Ask what will be removed from each tooth, and why.
What the price may leave out
Clinics include different steps in their price. Check whether the quote covers:
- the consultation, X-rays and any sterilisation fee, which one clinic charges separately;
- a mock-up or wax-up, so you can see the shape before teeth are prepared;
- digital smile design, if it is offered;
- temporary veneers while the laboratory makes yours;
- a try-in before the veneers are bonded;
- removing old veneers, which one clinic charges at 1,000 to 2,000 baht a tooth;
- any fillings, cleaning or gum treatment needed first.
Clinics that state a warranty give one to five years. Ask what it covers, and whether it still applies once you are home.
How long you need in Bangkok
Porcelain veneers usually take two or three visits over five to twelve days: a consultation and mock-up, then preparation with temporary veneers, then bonding once the laboratory has made them. One clinic quotes about a week as its fastest; another allows two to three weeks.
Composite veneers can often be done in one visit, the same day, or in about three days where the clinic designs them digitally first. Allow a few spare days in case anything needs adjusting before you fly.
Check the dentist
Only a dentist registered and licensed by the Dental Council of Thailand may practise dentistry (Dental Profession Act 1994, section 28). You can check a licence on the Dental Council's website by searching the dentist's first name and surname in Thai. If you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-580-7500 to 7503.
A dentist may only present themselves as skilled in a specialty if they hold the Dental Council's certificate for it, or one the Council recognises (section 30). The recognised field closest to veneers is prosthodontics. Cosmetic dentistry is not a recognised specialty: the Dental Council's 2014 guideline on advertising gives "cosmetic dentistry" as an example of a field that may not be advertised as a specialty, and rules out claims such as "100 per cent results". If a clinic calls its dentist a cosmetic specialist, ask which certificate they hold.
Under the patients' rights the Dental Council publishes, you may ask the name of the dentist treating you, get enough information to decide, including the cost, and ask another dentist for a second opinion.
What to ask before you pay
- Porcelain or composite, and which material or brand?
- How much enamel will you remove from each tooth?
- Does the price include the mock-up, temporaries and try-in?
- Is there a lower price per tooth for the number I am having?
- How many visits, and how many days in Bangkok?
- What does the warranty cover once I am home?
- What is the dentist's full name in Thai, and which specialty certificate do they hold?
