What Renuvion costs in Bangkok

On 3 November 2026 we looked for the Renuvion prices that Bangkok hospitals and clinics publish on their own websites. One hospital, which updated its price list in October 2026, and one clinic, which updated its price list in September 2026, publish them:

AreaPublished prices
Both arms, both armpits, the upper or lower abdomen, the back, or the hip and waist on one side85,000 baht per area at the hospital, with one night; 85,000 baht per area at the clinic.
Outer thighs, inner thighs, or both calves95,000 baht per area at the hospital, with one night.
Each extra area in the same session66,000 baht at the hospital, or 74,000 baht for the thighs and calves. The clinic says extra areas cost less than the first, without a figure.

Renuvion is most often done straight after liposuction. The hospital says the price for both together is set at the consultation and is not simply the two prices added up. Ask whether your quote is for Renuvion with liposuction or on its own.

What Renuvion does

Renuvion passes radio-frequency energy through helium gas to make a plasma. Through small cuts, often the ones made for liposuction, the doctor passes a thin probe under the skin and heats the tissue beneath it, which tightens it. It removes no skin. The clinic says the procedure takes 45 to 90 minutes, under local or general anaesthesia; the hospital usually uses general anaesthesia.

Both say it suits mild to moderate loose skin that still has some elasticity. If you can hold a fold of loose skin, the hospital says the operation that works is one that removes skin, such as a tummy tuck, an arm lift or a thigh lift.

What the US FDA has cleared it for

In March 2022 the US Food and Drug Administration warned against using Renuvion to tighten skin, alone or with liposuction, because it had not been found safe or effective for any aesthetic skin procedure. It has since cleared one handpiece for two uses: loose skin in the neck and under the chin (July 2022), and treating tissue under the skin after liposuction for body contouring (April 2023). A separate handpiece is cleared for moderate to severe wrinkles in Fitzpatrick skin types I to III only (May 2022).

Renuvion used on the body without liposuction is not among the cleared uses. These are US clearances; the FDA advises asking which device will be used, and discussing the benefits and risks with your doctor.

Recovery

The hospital keeps you one night; the clinic sends you home the same day. Expect swelling, bruising and a tight, tender feeling. The hospital says most people are through the worst in about a week, and things settle over two to three weeks.

The clinic advises a compression garment for four to six weeks, cold compresses for the first 48 hours, and no hard exercise for two to four weeks. Before treatment, stop aspirin and vitamin E at least seven days ahead, and smoking and alcohol one to two weeks ahead. The result keeps improving for months: over three to six months, the hospital says, and fully at about six to nine months, the clinic says.

Ask your surgeon to clear you for your flight home. Keep the compression garment on during the flight.

Check the surgeon

Only a doctor registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Thailand may practise medicine (Medical Profession Act 1982, section 26). You can check a doctor on the Medical Council's website by searching their first name and surname, in Thai or in English. It lists only licensed doctors. If you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-590-1887.

No one may present themselves as skilled in a field of medicine unless they hold the Medical Council's certificate for it, or one the Council recognises, or meet criteria set in the Council's regulations (section 28). Ask which certificate your surgeon holds, and check the name you are given.

What to ask before you pay

  • Is my skin loose enough that removing skin would work better?
  • Will Renuvion be done with liposuction or on its own, and what is the total for both?
  • How many areas, and what does each extra area cost?
  • Local or general anaesthesia, and do I stay the night?
  • Is the compression garment included, and when can I fly?
  • What is the surgeon's full name, and which Medical Council certificate do they hold?
