What PRP for hair costs in Bangkok
On 4 November 2026 we read the PRP hair prices that three Bangkok clinics publish on their own websites. We found no Bangkok hospital publishing a current price for it:
| Clinic | One session | A course |
|---|---|---|
| One clinic | 6,500 baht | 22,000 baht for four sessions, to be used within a year |
| A second clinic | 10,000 baht, and the doctor's consultation is free | No course price; three or four sessions at 10,000 baht each |
| A third clinic | 5,590 baht, down from 8,900 baht, with PRP and a biotin serum | 9,900 baht for two sessions, 12,900 baht for three and 19,900 baht for five |
The third clinic's prices are a promotion, and it adds one free red-light hair laser session to each PRP session.
How many sessions, and when it shows
Two clinics advise three or four sessions to start. One spaces them about a month apart, then a session every 6 to 12 months to keep the result; the other advises one every three to four months after the first course.
One clinic says results usually show within three to six months; another says two to three months. Both say results vary from person to person. One says advanced hair loss may need other treatments or hair restoration.
The session itself
Blood is drawn, spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, and the plasma is injected into the thinning areas of the scalp. One clinic says a session takes 30 to 45 minutes, under a numbing cream, with no time off. Another says 30 to 60 minutes, that mild redness usually settles within 24 to 48 hours, and not to wash your hair for 24 hours.
Because the sessions are about a month apart, a full course takes several visits.
Check who treats you
Only a doctor registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Thailand may practise medicine (Medical Profession Act 1982, section 26). The three clinics say a doctor does the treatment. Ask for the name of the doctor who will treat you, and check it on the Medical Council's website by searching their first name and surname, in Thai or in English. It lists only licensed doctors. If you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-590-1887.
No one may present themselves as skilled in a field of medicine unless they hold the Medical Council's certificate for it, or one the Council recognises, or meet criteria set in the Council's regulations (section 28).
What to ask before you pay
- Is the price for one session, or a course, and how long is a course valid?
- How many sessions do you advise for my hair, and how far apart?
- Is anything added to the PRP, and is that in the price?
- Is the doctor's consultation included?
- What is the doctor's full name?
