What a lip lift costs in Bangkok

On 4 November 2026 we read the prices that one Bangkok hospital and one clinic publish on their own websites, both pages updated in the past two months:

OperationPublished prices
Upper lip lift, under the noseFrom 50,000 baht at the clinic.
Corner lip liftFrom 45,000 baht at the clinic; 38,000 baht at the hospital, as a promotional price for patients who agree to a review, on the hospital's conditions.
Lip lift with fat added to the lipFrom 89,000 baht at the clinic, under local anaesthetic.

The clinic says these are starting prices, and that you get a written quote after an assessment, before any deposit. The hospital says its price may change with time, promotions and its conditions.

Other pages we found were more than a year old, gave no price, or had no reliable date: two sites date every page the same day.

Upper lip lift or corner lift

In an upper lip lift, the clinic removes a shaped strip of skin under the base of the nose and closes the cut in the crease there. This shortens the distance from nose to lip, so more of the lip and the upper teeth show. In a corner lift, it removes small triangles of skin above each corner of the mouth to raise the corners slightly. The hospital describes its corner lift as adjusting the skin and tissue at the mouth corner and lifting it.

The clinic says an upper lip lift suits people with a long distance from nose to lip who show almost no upper teeth when smiling. It says filler adds temporary volume without changing that distance.

The operation, stitches and recovery

Both operate under local anaesthetic. The clinic gives 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, in the operating room of a partner private hospital, as a day case. It says swelling peaks in the first two to three days, the stitches come out at five to seven days, downtime is about one week, and the shape settles at one to three months.

The hospital says swelling and bruising settle over one to two weeks, that some people go back to desk work on day two or three, and that the scar fades, especially by three to six months. It advises keeping water off the wound for five to seven days, and avoiding food that needs a wide mouth or heavy chewing in the first week. The hospital calls the result permanent; the clinic calls it long-lasting, and says the lips still change with age.

Risks, and who should tell the doctor first

The hospital lists swelling and bruising, tightness or mild pain, a scar that may show while it heals, infection, which it calls very rare, and early unevenness between the two sides. The clinic says every procedure carries risk.

The hospital asks you to tell the doctor first if you have a bleeding disorder, take blood thinners or supplements such as vitamin E or fish oil, scar easily into keloids, have an infection or sore on the lips such as herpes, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Before surgery it advises stopping aspirin, blood thinners and vitamin E for at least a week, and smoking and alcohol for at least two weeks.

Check who treats you

Only a doctor registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Thailand may practise medicine (Medical Profession Act 1982, section 26). The clinic says its surgeons are certified by the Thai Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Ask for the name of the surgeon who will operate, and check it on the Medical Council's website by searching their first name and surname, in Thai or in English. It lists only licensed doctors. If you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-590-1887.

No one may present themselves as skilled in a field of medicine unless they hold the Medical Council's certificate for it, or one the Council recognises, or meet criteria set in the Council's regulations (section 28).

What to ask before you pay

  • Is it an upper lip lift, a corner lift, or both?
  • Is the price a promotion, and what are its conditions?
  • Where is the operation done, and under what anaesthetic?
  • When do the stitches come out, and how long should I stay in Bangkok?
  • What is the surgeon's full name?
