Laser hair removal price in Bangkok: price list by area, per session and course

What laser hair removal costs in Bangkok, by area

On 2 November 2026 we read the laser hair removal prices that two Bangkok hospitals and one Bangkok clinic publish on their own websites. Prices are for one session. The clinic gives starting prices for two kinds of laser: the first figure is for diode or IPL, the second for alexandrite or Nd:YAG. One hospital sets some prices separately for women and men:

Area, one sessionPublished prices
UnderarmsFrom 750 or 1,500 baht at the clinic; 2,900 baht at one hospital; 5,000 baht at the other hospital.
Upper lip2,200 baht at the first hospital.
Face, chin or cheeksFrom 3,000 or 6,000 baht for the face at the clinic; at the first hospital, 2,900 baht for a woman's chin or 3,700 baht for a man's, and 5,800 baht for the cheeks.
Bikini lineFrom 750 or 1,500 baht at the clinic, or from 2,250 or 4,500 baht for a Brazilian; 5,800 baht at the first hospital, or 8,600 baht for the whole bikini area; 5,000 baht at the other hospital.
ForearmsFrom 1,500 or 3,000 baht at the clinic; 5,800 baht for a woman or 7,200 baht for a man at the first hospital.
Chest or backFrom 3,000 or 6,000 baht at the clinic; 7,200 baht for a woman or 8,600 baht for a man at the first hospital.
Lower legsFrom 3,000 or 6,000 baht at the clinic; 7,200 baht for a woman or 8,600 baht for a man at the first hospital.
Thighs, or full legsFrom 3,000 or 6,000 baht for the upper legs and from 6,000 or 12,000 baht for the full legs at the clinic; 8,600 baht for a woman's thighs or 11,500 baht for a man's at the first hospital.

None of the three publishes a price for the full body; add up the areas you want. The other hospital's 5,000-baht price includes the doctor's fee but not a local anaesthetic, and is only for Thai citizens and foreigners who live in Thailand permanently.

Courses, and how many sessions you need

For most areas, the first hospital sells a course of five sessions for four times the price of one: 11,600 baht for the underarms, 8,800 baht for the upper lip and 28,800 baht for a woman's lower legs. After the course, each further session costs less, for example 1,800 baht for the underarms.

The clinic says most people need six to eight sessions, four to six weeks apart, and a top-up once or twice a year after that. People often search for it as permanent hair removal, but plan for those top-ups. Because of the gap between sessions, one trip gives you one session unless you come back, so a course suits people who visit Bangkok often or live there.

Skin, sun and time off

The clinic matches the laser to your skin: diode for a wide range of skin tones and coarse hair, IPL for fine, light hair on fair skin, alexandrite for lighter skin, and Nd:YAG as the safest choice for the darkest or most tanned skin. It works best on dark hair; blonde, grey and red hair respond less reliably, and white hair usually cannot be treated.

Keep out of strong sun and avoid tanning and fake tan for about two weeks before a session, and wear sunscreen on the area throughout the course, the clinic says, because a tan changes what the laser sees. Redness and warmth usually settle within a few hours, and the treated hair sheds over one to two weeks. A session takes 15 to 60 minutes.

Check who treats you

Only a doctor registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Thailand may practise medicine (Medical Profession Act 1982, section 26). One hospital's price includes a doctor's fee. Ask who will operate the laser and whether a doctor sets it, and check the doctor's name on the Medical Council's website by searching their first name and surname, in Thai or in English. It lists only licensed doctors. If you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-590-1887.

No one may present themselves as skilled in a field of medicine unless they hold the Medical Council's certificate for it, or one the Council recognises, or meet criteria set in the Council's regulations (section 28).

What to ask before you pay

  • Which laser is it, and is it right for my skin and hair?
  • Is the price for one session or a course, and does a course expire?
  • Does the price apply to visitors, or only to residents?
  • Is a local anaesthetic included?
  • Who operates the laser, and what is the doctor's full name?
