What a facelift costs in Bangkok

On 2 November 2026 we read the facelift prices that two Bangkok hospitals and two Bangkok clinics publish on their own websites:

What the surgeon doesPublished prices
One area: the upper, middle or lower faceFrom 100,000 baht at one clinic.
Mid-facelift165,000 baht at a hospital, with two nights.
Full faceliftFrom 250,000 baht at one clinic; 250,000 baht at the hospital for an endoscopic facelift with no scar at the ear, with two nights.
Deep plane facelift, endoscopic229,000 to 450,000 baht at another clinic.
Face and neck lift282,000 baht at another hospital, with one night; from 320,000 baht at the first clinic.
Neck lift on its own136,000 baht at the first hospital, with one night; from 100,000 baht at the first clinic.
A second facelift171,000 baht at the first hospital, with two nights.

None of the four lists a mini facelift by that name. The nearest is a lift of one area, such as the lower face. The first hospital updated its list in July 2026. The face and neck lift is a promotion for patients flying in, which runs to 31 December 2026. The clinics give starting prices.

What the price covers

The first hospital says its prices cover the surgeon, the anaesthesia and the stated nights, but not flights or a hotel. The other hospital includes a medical check before surgery, which it values at 8,000 baht. One clinic charges 2,000 to 8,000 baht for the compression garment. Ask whether yours covers:

  • the anaesthesia and the anaesthetist;
  • the nights in hospital, and how many;
  • the compression garment;
  • medicine, taking out the stitches and follow-up visits;
  • the neck, if you want it done as well.

How long to stay, and recovery

Both the first hospital and a clinic do facelifts under general anaesthesia. The hospital says each area takes about one to two hours, and advises planning at least 10 to 14 days in Bangkok for the consultation, the surgery and follow-up. The clinic says to plan at least seven days after surgery, until your surgeon clears you to fly, and to keep moving on the flight.

The hospital takes the stitches out 7 to 10 days after surgery, and a small drain may sit behind the ear at first. It advises no lifting or bending for about two weeks, normal activities after two to three weeks, exercise after four weeks, and no hair colouring for about six weeks. Swelling takes several months to settle fully, and numbness of the scalp six to eight weeks.

Check the surgeon

Only a doctor registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Thailand may practise medicine (Medical Profession Act 1982, section 26). You can check a doctor on the Medical Council's website by searching their first name and surname, in Thai or in English. It lists only licensed doctors. If you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-590-1887.

No one may present themselves as skilled in a field of medicine unless they hold the Medical Council's certificate for it, or one the Council recognises, or meet criteria set in the Council's regulations (section 28). Ask which certificate your surgeon holds, and check the name you are given.

What to ask before you pay

  • Which areas, which technique, and is the neck included?
  • Is the anaesthetist included, and how many nights in hospital?
  • Are the garment, medicine and follow-up included?
  • When do the stitches come out, and when can I fly?
  • What does a revision cost if I need one?
  • What is the surgeon's full name, and which Medical Council certificate do they hold?
