What dental implants cost in Bangkok
On 2 November 2026 we read the implant prices that six Bangkok dental clinics and hospitals publish on their own websites. These are their current lists:
| What you are buying | Published prices |
|---|---|
| A single implant with its abutment and crown | 35,000 to 133,700 baht. Korean-made implants start at 35,000 baht. Straumann implants are mostly 65,000 to 95,000 baht at dental clinics, and 94,000 to 133,700 baht at one private hospital. |
| All-on-4, per jaw | 190,000 to 590,000 baht. Most prices are between 250,000 and 440,000 baht. |
| All-on-6, per jaw | 280,000 to 810,000 baht. |
| A 3D CT scan | 2,100 to 10,000 baht, where it is not included. |
| A bone graft or sinus lift | 10,000 to 50,000 baht where a price is given. Often quoted only after the scan. |
The hospital's prices are valid until 31 December 2026 and one clinic's until 30 November 2026. The others give no end date. Two more clinics published lists that ended on 31 October 2026, so we left them out.
Why the same implant can cost twice as much
Most of the difference is the implant system. Clinics price Korean-made systems lowest, then mid-range brands, then Swiss systems such as Straumann, with ceramic (zirconia) implants at the top. The same clinic may list five or more brands, each at its own price.
For a full jaw, the bridge matters as much as the implants. An acrylic bridge costs less; a zirconia bridge can add 100,000 baht or more per jaw. Ask which bridge the price is for, and whether it is the temporary one or the final one.
Ask the clinic to name the brand and model of implant in writing. You will need it if the implant ever needs work at home.
What the price may leave out
Clinics bundle different things into their prices. Check whether the quote includes:
- the 3D CT scan used to plan the implant;
- the abutment that joins the implant to the crown, and whether it is standard or custom-made;
- the final crown, and what it is made of;
- a bone graft or sinus lift, if the scan shows you need one;
- extractions, temporary teeth and a surgical guide;
- sedation, medication and follow-up visits.
Some clinics price the implant and the crown separately, as two stages. Add both before you compare.
How many trips it takes
A single implant usually takes two visits. The first places the implant; the crown is fitted after the bone has healed around it. Bangkok clinics give that healing time as two to four months, or three to six. One clinic suggests five to ten days in Bangkok for the first trip and five to seven for the second.
For a full jaw, clinics differ. Some fit a fixed bridge five to seven days after surgery, so you can finish in one longer stay. Others fit a temporary bridge first and the final one three to six months later, on a second trip.
Ask what happens between trips: who checks the healing, and what you do if something goes wrong at home.
Check the dentist
Only a dentist registered and licensed by the Dental Council of Thailand may practise dentistry (Dental Profession Act 1994, section 28). You can check a licence on the Dental Council's website by searching the dentist's first name and surname in Thai. The search covers licensed dentists who are alive; if you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-580-7500 to 7503.
A dentist may only present themselves as skilled in a specialty if they hold the Dental Council's certificate for it, or one the Council recognises (section 30). The fields closest to implant work are oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics.
Implant dentistry is not one of them. The Dental Council's 2014 guideline on advertising gives "implant dentistry" as an example of a field that may not be advertised as a specialty, and says a dentist without a specialty certificate may not call themselves an "expert" or "specialist". The same guideline rules out claims such as "100 per cent results". If a clinic calls its dentist an implant specialist, ask which certificate they hold.
Your rights as a patient
Under the patients' rights the Dental Council publishes, you may ask the name of the person treating you, and you are entitled to enough information to decide: what treatment is proposed, the options, and what it will cost. You may also ask another dentist for a second opinion, and change dentist or clinic.
What to ask before you pay
- Which implant brand and model is this price for?
- Does the price include the CT scan, abutment and final crown?
- Will I need a bone graft or sinus lift, and what will it cost?
- For a full jaw: is the price for an acrylic or a zirconia bridge, and is it the final one?
- How many trips, and how many days in Bangkok each time?
- What is the dentist's full name in Thai, and which specialty certificate do they hold?
- What happens, and who pays, if the implant fails to heal?
