What CoolSculpting costs in Bangkok

On 3 November 2026 we looked for the CoolSculpting prices that Bangkok hospitals and clinics publish on their own websites. One hospital, which updated its price list in March 2026, and two clinics, which updated their pages in September and October 2026, publish them. Prices are per cycle: one placement of one applicator on one area.

What you pay forPublished prices
One cycle16,500 baht with a small applicator, 20,000 baht with the CoolSmooth Pro applicator and 24,000 baht with the large Cool Advantage Plus applicator at the hospital; 12,000 baht at one clinic; 18,900 baht per applicator at the other clinic.
Two cycles30,000 to 42,000 baht at the hospital, depending on the applicator; 22,000 baht at the first clinic.
Four or six cycles52,000 baht for four cycles with a small applicator at the hospital; 40,000 baht for four and 54,000 baht for six at the first clinic.

The hospital's list also shows two lines without an explanation: 13,800 baht for a small applicator and 26,400 baht for the large one. Ask what they cover and whether they are added to the cycle price.

Most areas need more than one cycle. The first clinic gives these estimates:

AreaCyclesEstimated cost at the clinic
Double chin1 to 212,000 to 22,000 baht
Flanks, both sides2 to 422,000 to 40,000 baht
Upper arms, both2 to 422,000 to 40,000 baht
Abdomen2 to 822,000 to 72,000 baht
Abdomen and flanks4 to 1240,000 to 108,000 baht

Compare quotes by the number of cycles and the applicator, not by the name of the package.

What CoolSculpting does, and who it suits

CoolSculpting cools the fat under the skin until the fat cells crystallise and die; the body then clears them over the following weeks. There are no needles and no cuts. Both clinics use CoolSculpting Elite, which can treat two areas at the same time.

The first clinic says it works on fat you can pinch, in people close to their target weight. It is not a way to lose weight, it does not tighten loose skin, and it cannot reach the fat deeper inside the belly, around the organs. It is not suitable for people with cryoglobulinaemia, cold agglutinin disease or paroxysmal cold haemoglobinuria.

The session, and afterwards

A gel pad protects the skin, and the applicator draws the fat in with suction. The first few minutes feel intensely cold; the area goes numb within about five to ten minutes. A cycle takes 35 to 75 minutes depending on the area, the first clinic says, and the other clinic says 35 to 60 minutes. Afterwards the area is massaged for two to five minutes. No anaesthesia is needed.

Most people go back to work the same day. Redness usually fades within an hour; swelling and numbness can last from a few days to a few weeks. The first clinic says changes start to show at one to two months, are clearest at two to three months, and continue up to six months. It advises avoiding ibuprofen and naproxen for six weeks after treatment. The other clinic advises keeping the treated areas out of direct sun and using SPF 50+.

Most people need one to three sessions per area, four to eight weeks apart at the first clinic and six to eight weeks apart at the other.

Side effects the clinic lists

The first clinic lists redness, swelling, bruising, numbness, tingling and cramping in the treated area, which usually fade within days; numbness can take up to a month.

It also describes a rare reaction, paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, in which the treated area grows larger instead of smaller. It gives a rate of 0.005% to 0.033% of treatments, more often in men and on the abdomen. It does not go away on its own and needs surgery, usually liposuction, to correct.

Check who treats you

Only a doctor registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Thailand may practise medicine (Medical Profession Act 1982, section 26). You can check a doctor on the Medical Council's website by searching their first name and surname, in Thai or in English. It lists only licensed doctors. If you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-590-1887.

What to ask before you pay

  • How many cycles do I need for each area, and which applicator?
  • Is the price per cycle or per area, and is anything added for the applicator?
  • Is it CoolSculpting Elite or an older model?
  • Can my fat be pinched, or would another treatment suit me better?
  • Does a doctor assess me, and what is their full name?
  • What happens if the area grows larger instead of smaller?
