What breast implant removal costs in Bangkok
On 3 November 2026 we looked for the breast implant removal prices that Bangkok hospitals and clinics publish on their own websites. One hospital, which updated its price list in October 2026, publishes them:
| What the surgeon does | Published prices |
|---|---|
| Implant removal through a cut under the breast, without general anaesthesia | 64,000 baht, without a night. |
| Implant removal | 81,000 baht, with one night. |
| Capsulectomy: removing the scar capsule around the implant | 46,000 baht if the hospital did your first operation, 81,000 baht if not; without a night. |
| Draining fluid after implant removal | 5,500 baht each time. |
| Removing injected silicone gel | 98,000 baht, with two nights. |
One Bangkok clinic publishes starting prices for a first operation only, and says it adds a fee for a revision case, because scar tissue from earlier surgery makes the work more complex.
Removal and replacement
The hospital prices taking out old implants and placing new ones as a corrective operation, with two nights. The price depends on the new implant:
| New implant | Published prices |
|---|---|
| Silimed or Sebbin | 146,000 to 149,500 baht. |
| Mentor round | 166,000 baht up to 400 cc, 176,000 baht above. |
| Motiva round | 178,000 baht up to 400 cc, 198,000 baht above. |
| Motiva Ergonomix | 258,000 to 278,000 baht. |
| Motiva Ergonomix II | 345,000 to 375,000 baht. |
| Additions | 30,500 baht for two different sizes, for uneven breasts; 40,500 baht for an endoscopic operation. |
It lists 181,000 baht, with two nights, to correct breast surgery done elsewhere.
Removal and a breast lift
The hospital does not publish a price for removal and a lift together. Its breast lift costs 83,000 baht for a scar around the areola, for a mild droop, and 111,000 to 136,000 baht for an anchor-shaped scar, for a severe droop, each with one night. Ask for one quote that covers both, and whether they are done in one operation.
How long to stay
The hospital lists no night in hospital for removal without general anaesthesia or for a capsulectomy, one night for removal, and two nights for replacement. For a first augmentation it advises staying 7 to 10 days in Bangkok for a check-up before you fly; ask whether it wants the same after removal or replacement.
Check the surgeon
Only a doctor registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Thailand may practise medicine (Medical Profession Act 1982, section 26). You can check a doctor on the Medical Council's website by searching their first name and surname, in Thai or in English. It lists only licensed doctors. If you find nothing, the Council answers on 02-590-1887.
No one may present themselves as skilled in a field of medicine unless they hold the Medical Council's certificate for it, or one the Council recognises, or meet criteria set in the Council's regulations (section 28). Ask which certificate your surgeon holds, and check the name you are given.
What to ask before you pay
- Will you remove the capsule as well as the implant, and is that in the price?
- General anaesthesia or not, and is the anaesthetist included?
- If I want new implants, which brand and size, and what is the total?
- Do I need a lift after removal, and what does it add?
- When is the check-up, and when can I fly?
- What is the surgeon's full name, and which Medical Council certificate do they hold?
