A 400-bed Bangkok hospital built around cosmetic surgery since 1984

Yanhee began in 1984 as a small outpatient clinic opened by a group of newly qualified doctors, and took its name from the Yanhee power station nearby. It is now a licensed 400-bed hospital in Bang Phlat with 37 treatment centres, from plastic surgery, skin and laser care and dentistry to general medicine, and it holds Joint Commission International accreditation. The hospital says it has treated patients from 162 countries, and it provides interpreters at no extra charge.

The hospital says it has more plastic surgeons than any other private hospital in Thailand, 18 in all, each a member of the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand. For most cosmetic operations it quotes a package price that covers the surgeon’s fee, medicines, the room, nursing, meals and the operating theatre, and it publishes its full price list in baht. The final price is confirmed after a consultation with the doctor.

Technology and materials

Ultherapy Prime

Micro-focused ultrasound that lifts and tightens the skin of the face and neck without surgery, with an on-screen view of the skin layers during treatment. The Skin and Laser Center prices it by area, from the eyes or brow up to the full face and neck, and the hospital quotes results lasting about one to two years.

Thermage FLX

Monopolar radiofrequency that heats the deeper layers of the skin to tighten it, used around the eyes, on the face and on the abdomen, arms or thighs. It is usually a single session, priced by the number of shots, and the hospital says the tightening shows three to six months later.

Renuvion J-Plasma

Helium plasma with radiofrequency energy, delivered under the skin through a thin probe to tighten loose skin, most often straight after liposuction. Yanhee prices it per body area with a one-night stay, and its own page on the device sets out the device’s regulatory history in the United States.
